About Dr. Jaime Rodriguez

I was born and raised in Weslaco, TX. I attended the UT Pan American for my undergraduate studies and I graduated from University of Houston College of Optometry in 1999. I have been in private practice as an Optometrist for 23 years and most recently in my Weslaco location for 14 years. We also have a second location in San Benito, TX. My wife, Jessica, and I have three adult children Jacob, Iliana and Joshua and we recently became grandparents to our grandson Lukas. My two older children (Jacob and Iliana) are current students at UHCO and my youngest son Joshua just completed his second year at the University of Texas in Austin.

As a eye care provider I feel it is important to educate parents about the importance of early intervention in slowing the progression of their child's myopia. It is my ethical responsibility to educate patients about the benefits of Myopia Management so that we can improve patient's long term visual outcomes.
