Constant increase in the minus power of the eye in children is called as Myopia progression. Progressive myopia leads to stretching of eye ball and retina which can cause significant eye related issues such as macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma and cataract later in the life. When the child grows up and is in their forties and fifties these conditions can decrease the quality of life. The progression of myopia is thus of bigger concern. The solution to this is different strategies that are proven to control and manage the progression.
